PRUNING - Jason's Arborcare is committed to training its pruning expert's to uphold the ANSI A300 (revised 2001). The ANSI A300 (revised 2001) is the recognized tree care standard for the United States and is the most beneficial to your trees health. The Following is the terminology for proper pruning:

a.) Crown Cleaning: Crown cleaning shall consist of the selective removal of one or more of the following items: dead, dying, diseased branches of 1" diameter or greater and watersprouts from within the tree's canopy

b.) Crown Thinning: Crown Thinning shall consist of the selective removal of branches to improve structure, increase light penetration, wind movement, and enhance appearance of trees.

c.) Crown Raising: Crown rising shall consist of the reduction or removal of the lower branched of a tree in order to provide clearance for buildings and/or vehicle and pedestrian traffic.

d.) Crown Reduction (crown shaping): Crown reduction reduces the height and/ or spread of a tree.
* No more than 25% of the leaf mass can be removed at one time

e.) Vista Pruning: Vista Pruning is selective thinning of framework limbs or specific areas of the crown to allow a specific view of an object from a predetermined point;

f.) Crown Restoration: Crown Restoration pruning should be done to improve the structure, form, and appearance of trees the have been topped, hatracked, rounded or storm damaged. BACK

REMOVAL

Many times a tree's problems are so severe that it can not be repaired. Due to poor conditions of a tree, or the tree's proximity to a valuable object, a removal may be necessary. Two Types of removal exist:

General Removal: removal of a tree in an open landscape with no obstructions

Hazardous Removal: removal of a dead or damaged tree. Also includes removal of a tree that requires temporary disconnection of utilities, and in some extreme cases a crane may be required. We pride ourself in finding the safest solutions for hazardous and difficult tree remova

STUMPGRINDING

Stumpgrinding is the mechanical grinding of a trees surface roots/ and or stump below ground level. We achieve this with the latest in quality, high performance machinery, able to tackle any size stump, no matter where the location.

Many times a trees roots have out grown it original space, or future construction poses a threat to the trees health. The value of the tree or the value of the object in the tree roots path often make root pruning a necessary services. Root pruning enables a property owner to have peace of mind when it comes to keeping their tree and hardscape in perfect harmony.

Trees have value and relocating a tree is a way to keep the value of a property "growing". Both young and Mature trees can be relocated on a property or move to a new location. This preservation of trees is a commitment that we should all strive to uphold. Trees benefit everyone.

CABLE AND BRACING

We at Jason's Arborcare are committed to preserving trees. Cable and bracing is yet another way to help in the preservation of trees. This technique is a necessary and effective tool for the trained arborist. Cable and Bracing is the "art and science" of structurally and mechanically joining cracked or potential-to-crack tree parts for the life of the tree in the attempt to preserve or prolong the life of the tree.
